The Province of West Pakistan was dissolved in 1970, and its government was reorganized as the Board of Revenue Punjab. The West Pakistan Board of Revenue Act of 1957 superseded the West Pakistan Board of Revenue Ordinances, which had created the board in 1955 and 1956. It was formerly known as the Board of Revenue West Pakistan but was renamed after 1970 when the Province of West Pakistan was dissolved.
